Hey everyoneee! I’m Dimitrios Ntentia, a tech geek from Greece.
Who am I? I come from a multicultural environment, speaking Greek, Albanian and Italian, since my family is partly from all 3 countries. This has helped me learn not only spoken languages easier, but also programming languages, a skill that I have since used to assist me with achieving a career satisfactory to my standards of education. I want to study Computer Science and Biology, and apply them both in the field of Robotics, a de-facto interdisciplinary field.
Whats the deal about Robots and AI? My interest started early on in high school, where I was playing around with custom smart systems using arduino and other controllers like the pi one. The real magic happened during my time at Purdue University’s Collaborative Robotics Lab. I got my hands dirty with AI and found out that robots aren’t just sci-fi dreams; they’re the future, and they are made by people who dont know everything, rather they figure it out on the way! I especially am interested in the fusion of humans and computers, on fields like Assistive Robotics and cognitive robotics.
Why take this class? The world is undergoing a technological revolution, with AI and robotics at its forefront. Opting for this class was a conscious decision to equip myself with the technical skillset to navigate and contribute to this evolving landscape. By mastering the principles of AI algorithms, autonomous systems, and robotics design, I aim to shape the future with practical and transformative solutions, during my pHD, which is the next step for me after college.
