Hello World: Kori Kobylak

Posted on September 1, 2023

Hello, I am Kori Kobylak, I use She/Her pronouns and am a Berea College student originally from Roseville, Michigan just north of Detroit! While I now live in Kentucky I still hold Michigan as my home in my heart. When I have free time I enjoy playing video games, my favorite of which is Celeste. Lately, however, I have been playing Baldur’s Gate 3. I also often look back at the large backlog of puzzle games I have gathered.

I was first interested in robotics through my involvement in First Robotics in 2013. Which is frankly a lot longer ago than I thought it was. However, it was still my engagement in it that opened my eyes to programming and robotics and to this day is part of my driving force to learn. Nowadays however I am also interested in the ever-expanding ideas of AI and am curious to see where it is going to end up. These interests are always expanding though as I feel these fields have a lot of growth that will be seen over the next couple of years.

One of my favorite fun facts about myself aside from my hobbies is I have a pet bearded dragon who I love dearly. He is at home due to the higher maintenance that a pet like him requires, but I see him every time I go back. Here is a picture of him from the last time I was home.
